Reporting to: The Head of Administration and The Principal

The Librarian consistently works towards outstanding performance across all professional standards, ensuring safeguarding, successful outcomes and the efficient and effective administrative operations.

To  work as part of the administrative team, providing a friendly and welcoming service to   students, staff, families and visitors in a manner that truly reflects the values of our school. The post holder is expected to be able to prioritise tasks and to manage their workload with a minimum of supervision. 

The school’s pursuit of excellence begins at our front gates and this role should actively seek to ensure an outstanding public perception of our operations and provision.


  • Registration of books in and out of the Library
  • Keep records and circulation of materials
  • Explain use of library facilities, resources, equipment, and services, and provide information about library policies
  • Inventory and control of stock
  • Support to receptionist
  • Translations of all school documents and provide basic translations for staff and families when required (menus, letters to families etc) and aid communications when necessary due to translation requirements. 
  • Prepare and issue certificates of Admissions & Academic Heads
  • General Administrative Support duties
  • Contribute to the school vision that every child will achieve more than they imagined possible in a happy and inclusive environment where everyone is supported and encouraged to excel. 
  • Attend relevant training and meetings as required.


  • Recruit and monitor ECA staff and work with HR to ensure safeguarding and child protection
  • Manage and maintain communications between families and monitors and updating changes and modifications
  • Work with the Finance department for invoicing
  • Care and supervision of students enrolled in Extra Curricular Activities
  • Ensure that school trips and trips are organized in good time liaising with the Academic Team.
  •  Perform thorough risk assessment of all educational visits liaising with the HS coordinator to ensure the safety of all school trips. 


Education and Skills


  • Native level of English and Spanish
  • Flexible, positive and “can-do” attitude to work
  • Successful relevant experience
  • Full understanding of Equal Opportunities and able to implement it in everyday practice.
  • To communicate clearly and resolve any issues quickly and professionally.
  • To have excellent management skills and to be able to follow the school’s disciplinary code.


  • Similar experience in a business or academic environment.
