Job Description
Senior accountants prepare financial reports, perform research and analysis, maintain the
general ledger, perform account reconciliations, assist with audit preparations, and carry
out other accounting duties as may be required.
Responsibilities: (included, but are not limited to):
- Assessing internal controls, including risk assessments and reviews of risk areas
- Performing monthly balance sheet, income statement and changes in financial
- position/budget variance analyses
- Assisting in the design and preparation of budgets for review by management
- Maintaining and reconciling fixed assets schedules
- Supervising accounting staff.
- Make recommendations based on analysis and status of reserves, assets and
- expenditures
- Assist with financial and tax audits
- Document and monitor internal controls in support of auditing team
- Coordinate more complex accounting projects and initiatives with other members of
- the accounting and finance team or with other departments.
- Analyze complex financial reports and records
- Review journal entries of junior accountants to ensure accuracy
- Train and mentor junior staff
- Perform variance analyses and prepare account reconciliations
- Prepare financial reports
- Perform account reconciliations
- Maintain the general ledger, prepare tax returns, assist with audit preparations, and
- perform other accounting duties as assigned
- Required Skills and Experience Minimum Required for the Role
- Educational Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance,math, business administration, or a related field . Master’s degree in accountancy is preferred 5+ years of accounting experience, either in a public accounting firm or in a private corporate environment
- Language Skills : Fluency in English is a must
- Special Skills and Abilities : Highly detail-oriented and organized ; Ability to meet a constant stream of ; deadlines ; Proven ability to work both independently ; and collaboratively with different levels of ; employees; Superior analytical and problem-solving skills ; Familiarity with accounting software and programs
