Purpose of Role
A PE Teacher, or Physical Education Teacher is responsible for teaching physical education and sports to school children. Their duties include planning and leading PE lessons, getting students to compete in sporting events and evaluating their performance.

Preamble

We are looking for a teacher with a desire to make a difference to the lives of young people, ideally with evidence of outstanding teaching and learning. Candidates should have a clear and good understanding of current educational issues, theory, and practice, including sound subject knowledge of Physical Education and Games. A commitment to teaching and a willingness to continue to learn through professional development is important in the role.
Key Responsibilities
Leading, managing and development of the PE curriculum for all students with emphasis on fixtures and events and assisting with the development of sport within the school curriculum.
Leading and managing the learning and progress of students within the School curriculum, fixtures and extra-curricular activities.
