Purpose of Role
Based in Wimbledon, UK reporting to the Group CFO, the role is responsible for bringing group-wide performance/progress data to life and ensuring it is fit for purpose against a backdrop of an increasing number of schools, new users and evolving business intelligence requirements. This role may involve global.

ISP Group Head of Business Intelligence Key Responsibilities
- Ensure data requirements are clearly and consistently defined and understood, taking ownership for end user requirements.
- Facilitate the process for setting, communicating and reviewing targets and trend expectations for all non-financial KPI’s, in collaboration with the Group Financial Planning and Analysis team (responsible for the budget setting process) and functional/regional leaders.
- Identify the relevant business processes and associated data sources relevant for meeting the overall data requirements and work with the Lead Data Engineer to ensure organisational discipline around data capture.
- Design appropriate and relevant data products, in collaboration with the Lead Data Engineer, ensuring scope of requirements are met.
- Lead the design of business intelligence reports and dashboards for all stakeholder groups. Note: a report or dashboard would be made up of a series of relevant data products, designed around user requirements.
- Take responsibility for developing insights from analysis of the underlying data and developing the organisational capability to use intelligence and insights in decision making.
- Responsible for ensuring the right people have access to the right data (access control) and derive sufficient use/value out of the available intelligence (end user training).
Skills, Qualifications and Experience
- Excellent stakeholder management skills and experience in leading the use of data to create business intelligence that leads to insight, decision making and action.
- Strong leadership and people development skills to develop a small team of business intelligence professionals, mentor users of insight (leaders across the organisation) and educate the broader ISP community on the valuable use of data.
- Ability to manage the evolving data requirements, collaborating with senior business leaders to put sufficient definition to those requirements for them to be actionable.
- Experience of using Power BI as the tool of choice for data analytics and insight coupled with the ability to lead adoption of Power BI across a portfolio organisation.
- Evidence of working in a decentralised global organisation
