Who we are :

The British School of Geneva is open to recruiting outstanding Teachers for the 2023-24 school year across a range of areas.Founded in 2005, The British School of Geneva offers the full English National Curriculum from EYFS through to A Levels to students of all nationalities and educational backgrounds.

Today, the school welcomes around 270 students from over 70 nationalities in its bright, spacious, built-for-purpose premises. The British School of Geneva is a day school only and employs approximately 50 teachers and administrators. Students are the life-blood of any school, and all teachers, management and administrators are committed to helping every one of them thrive and confidently attain their full potential. The concepts of inclusion, respect, motivation and achievement are fundamental and permeate every aspect of school life.

Do you have a proven track record of outstanding teaching in your career to date in any of the following areas:

History A Level (& GCSE, KS*?)

 

Music / Music and Drama / English and Drama and Music (Any / all / combination)

 

Science  :  Science and Maths      (A possible combination)

 

German : German and Spanish : Spanish

 

English as an Additional language Teaching

 

SEN Teacher Assistants

 

Career Guidance / Future Pathway Leadership

 

ICT : A Level and GCSE

What we are looking for:

The key professional and personal qualities required for this position are :

 

Essential:

  • Current relevanrt Qualification in the Subject area with experience teaching in the English National Curriculum or equivalent.
  • The proven ability to contribute to and work effectively within a Subject department and broader staff community.
  • The proven ability to maintain accurate data, records and Curricular Schemes of Learning.
  • The proven ability to energise student learning and experience ensuring high level of student development and improvement.
  • A proven facility with using relevant Information technology and complying with in-house systems of recordkeeping.
  • A proven ability to provide additional contribution to student experience beyond the mainstream curriculum.

 

Desirable:

 

  • The proven ability to work within a team and contribute effectively to the wider life of a school community
