Accounts Assistant - Role Profile

 

Purpose of Role

To assist Finance Team in delivering financial services to corporate standards to ensure maximum efficiency and effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

  • To assist in processing all orders and invoices on Accounting System ensuring that the school complies with the authorisation levels as prescribed within the School’s internal financial procedures.
  • To assist managing the school’s accounting system ensuring efficient operation according to agreed procedures.
  • To assist in monitoring accounting procedures and resolve problems, including school purchasing, bank account, asset register and petty cash etc.
  • Bank deposits and account/bank reconciliations; petty cash.
  • To assist monitoring expenditure against budget and report any variances across all cost centres
  • To assist in tracking income and expenditure across funding streams contribution to budget planning
  • To assist in preparing monthly financial reports
  • To assist in preparing income statements
  • To assist in implementing financial policies and procedures
  • Maintain financial files and records
  • To assist in issuing purchase orders, receipts and invoice
  • Reconcile the accounts payable
  • Reconcile the accounts receivable
  • Compile source department
  • Ensure all accounts entries are update promptly
  • To ensure all reports are completed before deadline
  • To accept additional duties as assigned when required
  • To fulfil other task as requested by the management as and when required.


Skills, Qualifications and Experience

  • Candidate should possess at least a Bachelor's Degree or Professional Degree in Accounting / Accountancy
  • Required language(s): English Language (with strong communication & language skills)
  • Fresh graduate or 1 year of working experience in financial accounting
  • Able to commence immediately would be an added advantage.
