Regional Accounting Specialist – US & CA
REPORTS TO: Regional Director of Finance, US & CA
STATUS: Exempt/Salaried

LOCATION: Remote – US or CA
Due to the continued growth within the USA and Canada Region of the International Schools Partnership (ISP), we are looking for inspiring individuals who want to join us on this journey and become part of our Regional Finance team.
Purpose of Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to join our ISP US & Canada regional finance team. Under the direction of the Regional Director of Finance, US & CA, the Accounting Specialist will support the regional finance team members including – the Regional Controller and Regional Head of FP&A with various aspects of our accounting and reporting processes, and drive delivery of process improvement initiatives.
The Accounting Specialist will be somewhat of a “generalist” executing ad supporting day-to-day accounting tasks such as financial activities to include but not limited to Accounting duties and reconciliations, FP&A support, participating in a Procurement Initiative, and System transition support according to established policies and procedures in an efficient, timely and accurate manner.
The Accounting Specialist displays a strong sense of ownership and is fully committed to ensuring the accuracy of financial data and providing accounting and finance support to the regional finance team. In addition, this individual is team-oriented and thrives in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment.
Remote position. Regular travel is required throughout the US and Canada region.

Key Responsibilities
Accounting:
· Accounts payable for the regional office
· Intercompany transaction booking
· Bank upload and bank reconciliations
· Monthly closing tasks
· Perform other duties as assigned
FP&A:
· Collection and reporting of KPI data into designated system/software
· Assist with ad hoc projects and report updates
· Performs other duties as assigned
Procurement Initiative:
· Assist with data collection and follow-up on calculations
· Provide support in driving actions with schools such as – data gathering and investigating
· Performs other duties as assigned
Systems Transition:
· Assist schools and our central systems team in the rollout of ISAMS and billing module
· Performs other duties as assigned
Experience and Requirements
· 3+ years of accounting experience at a fast-paced and/or complex company or recent graduate with a strong internship track record
· Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Accounting.
· Solid understanding of corporate accounting concepts, internal controls, and operational efficiency.
· Demonstrated history of solving multiple complex operational and accounting challenges.
· Ability to analyze, summarize and articulate financial information appropriately based on audience.

· Prior school or education industry accounting experience is a plus
