ISP Malaysia – Asia Pacific Schools 

We are seeking to hire a Data Executive to commence employment as soon as possible.   

Purpose of Role  

Post holder   has the overall responsibility for user access administration and management of core applications database (School Management System). Ensure the data integrity of core applications and work closely with ICT team to ensure applications availability and effectiveness of the backup to minimise operation disruption.

Key Responsibilities  

  1. Data management – Responsible for data gathering, processing, ensure data structures are adequate, reports design and administration as required. 
  1. Core Applications Development – Responsible to work with relevant departments to define requirements for system integration in the schools.
    1. Working closely with IT team and School Leaders in School Management System (SMS) Development Plan;
    2. Liaising with all stakeholders to develop and present the proposed Development Plan to School Leaders. 
  1. Training – Planning, coordinating, and conducting core applications specific training for teaching and non-teaching staff for the school as necessary. 
  1. Support - being the primary contact with regional ISP and applications’ vendor and support team;with IT Support in maintaining users and user accounts; troubleshooting issues to do with the applications (SMS, Vircle, Entry Pass) and the use of it.
    1. -Working with the ICT Team to maximise the user experience of core applications (SMS, Vircle, Entry Pass); supporting core application key users. 
  1. Review – monitoring the effectiveness of the applications (SMS, Vircle, Entry Pass) implementation and adoption, and providing feedbacks regularly for informed planning.
  2. To perform other duties as reasonably requested by the Executive Principal or IT Manager to support office and school operation including data input quality control of Behavioural, Cover and Timetable etc.

Other duties and responsibilities  

  • Work collaboratively with others to develop effective professional relationships. 
  • Communicate effectively with parents, students and staff  
  • Undertake any other reasonable duties requested/assigned as required by SLT or Line Manager, especially regarding the school’s administrative function. 
  • Always follow the school’s policies and procedures. 

Communication, marketing, and PR

  • To ensure professional and effective communication and consultation, as appropriate, between colleagues, parents and students at Asia Pacific Schools.
  • Publicise and celebrate achievements.
  • Assist with the organisation of open evenings, consultation events and other events relating to the school.
  • To contribute to marketing activities for Asia Pacific Schools.

  • Fully and positively participate in the school’s performance appraisal scheme in order to develop and enhance personal and service performance.
  • Undertake any other reasonable duties requested/assigned as required by SLT or Line Manager, especially with regard to the school’s administrative functions.
  • Ensure that school policies including those relating to Safeguarding, Race Equality, Equal Opportunities, Code of Conduct and Health & Safety are adhered to. 

Skills, Qualifications and Experience

  1. Degree in IT / MIS or equivalent
  2. Good communication and interpersonal skills
  3. Able to work independently with minimum supervision
  4. Knowledge in SQL will be an added advantage
  5. Knowledge in Network Infrastructure will be an added advantage
  6. Knowledge in Business Intelligence will be an added advantage
