Established in 1960, Tenby Schools Ipoh was the pioneer of the 6 Tenby Schools which are now part of the International Schools Partnership. We have over 1,000 students typically representing about 30 nationalities situated on a 13-acre campus, offering IPC, IGCSE, A level and SPM programmes as well as 70 co-curricular activities. This is a two-year contract with an option to renew at the end.  We also offer:

Purpose of Role

We seek to appoint a qualified and highly experienced Head of Boarding. The successful candidate will manage the full operation of the hostel which includes supervising and maintaining hostel discipline, caring of the safety and health of the students. The job is starting in August 2023.

Key Responsibilities

  • To manage the full operation of the hostel which includes supervising and maintaining hostel discipline, caring of the safety and health of the students.


Skills, Qualifications and Experience

  • Possess at least a relevant Bachelor’s Degree in Education or Bachelor’s degree with a post graduate qualification in teaching
  • A minimum of 5 years experience in hostel management
  • The role will include a 25% teaching load, subject negotiable
  • Computer literate with good interpersonal communication skills
  • Fluency in written and spoken English
  • Good inter-personal and communication skill
  • Have experience of working with children or young people
  • Wardens are expected to acquire and develop a good general knowledge of the School.
