Purpose of Role

The role of the EdTech Bench Lead is the heartbeat of this strategy. It's your chance to stand at the intersection between a central strategy and a diverse network of schools spanning the globe. Through managing an ambitious portfolio of EdTech projects, you will be integral in linking our vibrant school communities with the central EdTech team.

Your role as the EdTech Bench Lead will be instrumental in this, facilitating the successful implementation of our model across our group, meeting the unique needs of each school, and leading them towards a brighter, tech-augmented future.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all the activities of regional schools through a process of EdTech maturity baselining, needs analysis, pilot design, evaluation of solutions, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of solutions.
  • Lead the work of the EdTech guild and develop strong relationships between school EdTech leads and Central team.
  • Work closely with regional Directors of Learning to ensure alignment with Learning first, LIPS and regional needs when co-designing solutions with school leadership.
  • Support and develop the skills of school based EdTech leads through mentoring and recommendation of professional learning.
  • Conduct EdTech surveys and observations of schools in region as required working closely with Group Head of EdTech in support of ISP central EdTech strategy and that feed ISP central recommendation decisions.
  • Be the point of co-ordination for trials and establishment of lab schools in region.
  • Support schools in the identification of needs and creation of EdTech solution proposals in accordance with ISP's EdTech selection criteria.
  • Support schools in their interpretation and use of the ISP EdTech Playbook.
  • Contribute to the ongoing population of the EdTech Playbook acting as curator of LabSchool findings as they emerge.
  • Lead and inspire the activities of the EdTech guild to identify and share best practice.
  • Support schools through change management resulting from implementation of EdTech solutions and policies.
  • Monitor, reporting and modification of pilots as part of the ISP EdTech strategy.

 

Skills, Qualifications and Experience

 

  • Excellent people skills capable of managing the needs of a diverse range of external and internal stakeholders and high performing subject matter experts and teams.
  • Demonstrable experience of successfully leading EdTech implementation into teaching and learning practice in a school or similar education environment and using standards such as PIC-RAT or SAMR.
  • Demonstrable experience of using user research, evidence, and design thinking as the foundation of service development proposals and maintenance.
  • Commercial acumen and experience of building business cases and forecasts.
  • Strong analytical skills particularly around learning and assessment data.
  • Change management skills.
