Purpose of the role

Become an integral member of ISP Schools’ HR Team providing HR services, including, but not limited to, all aspects of the employee life cycle and needs of the business, such as organizational design and workforce planning, staffing levels analysis, employee cost analysis and control, compensation analysis, recruiting, onboarding, talent and performance management, employee engagement, labour relations, terminations, among others.

Develops extensive business knowledge, partners with local HR leaders and school leadership teams to develop and deliver effective and integrated HR solutions and programs aligned with ISP Schools' strategy.

This role reports directly to the Regional HR Head - South America.

Contribute to have visibility and reportability of HR processes and metrics in the schools in Colombia and Ecuador, through centralisation of data and permanent monitoring. Ensure implementation of Regional HR guidelines, provide support in HR services and be the HR point of contact between the schools and the regional office.

ISP Human Resources Business Partner Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to have visibility and reportability of HR processes and metrics in the schools in Colombia and Ecuador, through centralisation of data and permanent monitoring.
  • Responsible for the control and monitoring of compliance with the HR budget, staffing levels and staff costs for schools. Performs projections of costs and required workforce according to the fulfilment of the schools' admissions targets.
  • Ensure implementation of Regional HR guidelines, provide support in HR services and be the HR point of contact between the schools and the regional office.
  • Collaborates with the implementation of the ISP people plan and people services across the region, following HR Regional Head SA guidelines.
  • Develop, manage, and propose organizational and staff planning models to support the needs of schools, developing operationally and financially efficient solutions. Provides guidance to schools in the search for solutions in this aspect, considering the local culture of each school and the particularities of each educational project.
  • Assists the region in understanding relevant HR metrics, (e.g. staffing levels in schools, staff costs, employee turnover, medical leave rates, employee engagement, reasons for leaving, training hours per person, etc.). Provides insights and reporting on HR analytics and follow cost management working closely with finance.
  • Ongoing organizational and compensation analysis to make sure we have the most efficient and effective salary structure and organizational systems in place, according to ISP policy.
  • Providing HR support in different areas and processes such as personnel administration, recruiting, onboarding, training, performance management, labor relations, staff restructuring, management of the Cezanne platform, etc.

Skills, Qualifications and Experience

  • 8 or more years of experience working within HR as a generalist.
  • Solid understanding and knowledge of employment legislation, HR trends, issues and best practices
  • Solid track record of building relationships at all levels and proving pro-active and responsive solutions to business needs
  • Strong planning and analytical skills
  • Advanced skills in the use of Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets for data analysis
  • Knowledge of HR operations and change management
  • Ability to problem solve in multiple contexts
  • Oral/written communication skills and ability to communicate with multiple levels of the organization
  • Flexibility and adaptability to organizational changes
  • Hands on work when necessary and field work in our schools when required.
