ISP Business Intelligence Manager Role Profile (ISP Wimbledon / Hybrid)

Purpose of Role

 

This role is responsible for bringing group-wide performance/progress data to life, ensuring it is fit for purpose against a backdrop of an increasing number of schools and evolving business intelligence requirements.

ISP Business Intelligence Manager Key Responsibilities

 

  1. Ensure data requirements are clearly and consistently defined and understood and the process for doing so is consistent with other data requirements.

 

  1. Identify the relevant business processes and associated data sources relevant for meeting data requirements and work with the BI team and Lead Data Engineer to ensure organisational discipline around data capture.

 

  1. Lead the design of business intelligence reports and dashboards relevant for end users of relevant data and contribute to the design of cross-functional dashboards.

 

  1. Take responsibility for developing insights from analysis of the underlying data and developing the organisational capability to use intelligence and insights in decision making.

 

  1. Responsible for ensuring relevant stakeholders derive sufficient use/value out of the available intelligence (end user training).

 

  1. Take responsibility for the development and delivery of reports that meet regular management reporting requirements.

 

Skills, Qualifications and Experience

 

  • Excellent stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience in leading the use of data to create business intelligence that leads to insight, decision making and action.
  • Ability to manage the evolving data requirements,
  • Collaborating with senior business leaders and functional / regional heads to put sufficient definition to those requirements for them to be actionable.
  • Experience of using Power BI as the tool of choice for data analytics and insight,
  • An understanding of SQL/database management and
  • The ability to lead adoption of a Power BI reporting solution across a portfolio organisation.
