[Bahasa Melayu Teacher (International School)] Role Profile


Purpose of Role


We are looking for a passionate Bahasa Melayu Teacher to deliver fun, engaging and learning-focused lessons, manage the day-to-day planning, lead events, and work effectively as a member of the International Primary team. If you want to be part of our team you will need to be passionate about learning. You will be good at working with and inspiring your colleagues, our students, and their parents.

ISP Key Responsibilities


  • The ideal candidate must be well qualified and enthusiastic individual who has excellent subject knowledge to teach Bahasa Melayu and other subjects from Year 1 to Year 6 classes.
  • The candidate must be resourceful and innovative in his/her teaching approach. You must be passionate about your subject, with the ability to plan and deliver high quality lessons that engage, motivate and challenge, with a strong emphasis placed on developing pupils’ ability to achieve their individual potential and goals.
  • The candidate must promote high expectations for all students, designing learning activities that are aligned to our school’s curriculum and creating a learning culture where there are no limits to what can be achieved.

  • You will be supported by strong leadership, systems and an outstanding professional development programme.   


Skills, Qualifications and Experience

  • Applicants must possess a Degree in Education (desirable) and a secondary teaching qualification or equivalent with teaching qualification.
  • Minimum 2 years teaching experience in Bahasa Melayu, preferably in an International school context.
  • Applicants will be hardworking and enthusiastic teaching professional with excellent subject knowledge and a sound understanding of the International Curriculum.
  • Motivated individual with keen interest in encouraging, motivating and inspiring students to achieve their full potential.
  • Good interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills with fluency in written and spoken English is essential.
  • Is committed to wider aspects of school life and learning including developing students’ life skills to support development and growth.
  • Can be a reflective individual who is committed to life-long learning and development.
