                                                      Job Title: IT Manager

Purpose of Role

The ITM is a creative and dynamic leader charged with developing and implementing a strategic vision in all areas of technology for the school. He / She will facilitate the integration of digital tools and best practices into curriculum and administrative systems.  Both a big picture thinker and a hands-on implementer, the ITM engages with administrators, educators and Technology Vendor, parents, and students to extend responsible and creative use of technology. Customer Service Minded.

This role reports directly (solid line) into the Head of the school.

This role reports functionally (dotted line) into the ISP Head of Technology Iberia.

This role supports; Teachers and staff across the school, Students, Parents, IT service Vendors, Other Technology Lead in the Iberia region.

Key Responsabilities

COMPUTER EQUIPMENT AND SYSTEMS

 Layout and configuration of computer equipment.

 Control and management of ipad's and app's.

 Review and configuration of VMware virtual machines.

 Review and labelling of network cabling.

 Weekly backup of Switch's and router's configuration.

 Management and control of mobile and fixed telephone lines.

 Maintenance and configuration of projectors.

 Creation and updating of network schema.

 Configuration and revision of public address software.

 Updating through domain policies of the equipment.

 Print server configuration and PaperCut management.

 FabLab specific printer maintenance.

 Maintain records/inventory of equipment and resources.

 Ensure that all educators and students have access to the appropriate technology tools to perform their tasks, job with the best possible efficiency.

 

SOFTWARE

 Jamf School management.

 Attention and management of Service Desk incidents.

 Unifi and Aruba network maintenance.

 Review of backup and data on Synology.

 CrowStrike Antivirus configuration.

 FortiNet firewall configuration.

 Adobe license management and control.

 Support and management of users of the uniform shop.

 Support and web management of warehouse orders.

 FreeNAS maintenance and review.

 ISAMS user management (families). Incident attention.

 DaloRadius management.

 Virtual Altillo Moodle support.

 Microsoft Tenant configuration.

 Focus on ensuring that network and other technology resources are used safely and responsibly rather than limiting access.

 The Professional use of Technology Help desk system provided by ISP Group.

 

STAFF

 Creation of e-mail accounts.

 Management of users and profiles in iSams.

 Management of permissions and access to platforms and programs.

 Management of users in the domain.

 Preparation of RFID identification card.

 Delivery and control of IT devices.

 Management and control of the personnel clocking system.

 Perform other duties as assigned by the Head of School.

 Management of Google G-Suite for Education.

 

DEPARTMENT

 Carry out CAPEX and OPEX according to requirements.

 Creation and management of student email accounts.

 ISP IT follow up meetings.

 Any other task that may be required according to his/her competences in particular projects or specific moments.

 Provide leadership in the purchase and acquisition of new technology and equipment. Consults with appropriate stakeholders to coordinate, evaluate, and recommend and purchase new technology and equipment.

 

Skills, Qualifications and Experience

 

English level: first (or equivalent) or demonstrated knowledge of the language.

Minimum 5 years’ experience in similar role, and 10 years of experience in technology in general.

B.S or Equivalent Degree – Computer / Technology Field / Senior Technician.

Technical Skills

Hands on Experience with wired and wireless Infrastructure. (HP Aruba, Cisco Meraki is preferred).

Hands on Experience with Windows server operating system and Domain Controllers.

Hands On Experience with security practices of firewall and content filtering.

Hands On Knowledge with TCP/IP, DNS, Routing and Firewalls.

Hands On Knowledge in managing IP – PABX.

Hands On Knowledge in managing Virtual environment and Backup (VMware preferred, Hyper-V).

Hands On Experience on managing Education Platform O365, Google G-Suite, Apple for education.

Hands On Experience on mobile devices management (MDM).

Hands On Experience on managing backups.
