We are looking to appoint a talented and experienced Teacher of Music to fulfil a key leadership role within the school as Head of Music. Music is at the very heart of Claremont and consequently the school is alive with music making. Every pupil in the school is given the opportunity to embrace the department’s ethos of ‘Be A Musician!’ through practical application of musical skills.

You will lead and shape our thriving Music Department, building upon our already strong profile within and beyond the school. Working alongside the Head of Academic and a team of talented visiting instrumental and singing teachers, you will coordinate an extensive range of concerts and events that showcase our students' musical talents both within the school and in the wider community. You will also promote excellence in teaching and learning across the department, exemplifying this within your own teaching practice.

We are looking for someone with a contagious passion for Music who prides themselves as an accomplished musician and as a leader who inspires students in their music-making and the joy of musical events. Additional experience of organising or participating in co-curricular activities is essential.

This is a full time, permanent position offering a competitive salary and benefits. The start date is January 2024.
