Claremont Senior School is looking to appoint a Learning Support assistant for the beginning of December 2023, or as soon as possible thereafter. The post is to support a pupil in year 11, within the classroom and 1 to 1.  In addition to supporting other SEND students within the classroom context. For 16 hours per week (term time only, minimum holiday pay and INSET days). It is a fixed term contract, linked to the individual pupil. The successful applicant will work alongside the SENDCo and class teachers.

Applicants should have a GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths as well as a good general standard of education, with an NVQ level 2 or equivalent in teaching and learning, or a willingness to work towards this qualification. Experience of working with pupils with dyslexia and/or speech language and communication needs would be desirable.

About Claremont

Claremont School is an independent day and boarding school. The Nursery and the Prep School are based in St Leonards on Sea, and the Senior School is located in Bodiam, East Sussex. The school is non selective and welcomes children and young people from a large catchment area spanning 25 miles. In addition, one third of the students in the Senior School are international boarders.

Children join Claremont aged 1, and the school offers a British curriculum throughout with GCSEs and iGCSEs at KS4, and A Level and BTechs at KS5.
