People Operations (HR) Administrator  

REPORTS TO:                  Regional Head of HR, US & Canada (Dotted Line Head of  

                                            School 

STATUS:                            Exempt/Salaried 

LOCATION:                     Riviera Schools (On-Site) 

SALARY:                           $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 (Commensurate with  

                                             education and experience) 

Purpose of Role  

We are seeking an exceptional People Operations (HR) Administrator who is team-oriented, collaborative, “hands on roll-up their sleeves”, and has high customer service standards. The People Operations (HR) Administrator role will be focused on administering support with recruitment, new hire-onboarding, HR administrative support to include but not limited to: reporting tasks, employee file maintenance, and payroll coordination support. Under the direction of the Regional Head of HR, US & Canada, and in partnership with the Head of School/School Director, ensure all recruitment and new hire recruitment and onboarding functions are completed in alignment with ISP and school standards. This role will serve as first-point-of-contact ONLY for all candidates in the recruitment process and new hires that are onboarding all the way through to a successful onboarding. Once this is completed, all inquiries that are HR and payroll related would be supported by the People Operations (HR) shared services team.  

This individual must thrive in a fast-paced environment with many moving pieces, and seeks to ensure they provide a compliant “white-glove” recruitment and onboarding experience for candidates and new hires.

Key Responsibilities  

Recruitment & Onboarding Support (50%): 

  

  • Lead the full lifecycle of the recruitment process from identifying vacancies, posting jobs using our ATS (JobVite), creating job descriptions templates, scheduling interviews and pre-screening candidates.
  • Review job details and prepare postings; in coordination with hiring manager determine recruitment strategy including pre-screening questions, and where advertising would occur to provide a diverse applicant pool.
  • Act as a point of contact and provide a stellar “candidate experience” by relationship building during the selection process.
  • Support the school and the hiring managers in ensuring a consistent recruitment, selection and interviewing process is followed.
  • Submit background checks through our background check provider (Sterling) for selected candidates. Including collection of international police checks (from candidates).
  • Conduct and complete reference checks aligned to our safer recruitment processes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  

HR Administration Support (50%): 

  

  • Lead all new hire onboarding activities as outlined by our onboarding guidelines and standard operating procedures.
  • Responsible for ensuring all employee files for new hires and existing employees are maintained in accordance with file standards.
  • As applicable, provide payroll coordination support of any required timecards and other related items to send in for payroll processing with the People Operations (HR) shared services team.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  

Skills, Qualifications and Experience 

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience in the Human Resources function.
  • A minimum of 3+ years of recent and relevant experience in recruiting, onboarding, or strong administrative assistant support. (Experience of working in HR Coordinator or Administrative Asisstant support).
  • Excellent listening, verbal, and written communication skills with employees and all levels of management; able to create a working environment of open communication and trust.
  • Highly detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills and multi-tasking abilities.
  • An understanding of and commitment to the ethos of the education industry.
