Tenby International School Setia EcoHill is one of the newer schools in the Tenby family and is set in a wonderful 14-acre campus with outstanding facilities.                                                          Retention and Parent Engagement Officer  

  

Purpose of Role  

  

Tenby Setia Ecohill is keen to employ an enthusiastic and capable Retention and Parent Engagement Officer. The school prides itself on a progressive approach to teaching, with lessons including dynamic collaborative activities and a challenging pace. The successful candidate will be able to lead the department to achieve amazing results.  

The school has been growing quickly over the 4 years and the IGCSE results have been strong. The successful candidate will be expected to continue this trend and contribute to the wider school life and other extra-curricular activities.

Key Responsibilities 

  

  • Develop and lead an effective parental engagement programme which is focused on building positive

relationships, supporting with the retention of current families and building the reputation of the School. Play 

  • a key role in external and internal communications by becoming a spokesperson for the School, accountable for the School’s reputation and pre-empting issues and crisis communication.

  

  

  

  

Internal Parental Communications  

  • Work with the Admissions and Marketing to develop a strategy on communications which will support the School’s growth
  • Work with Admission and Marketing to implement a comprehensive School Communications Plan
  • Develop the mechanisms by which to produce a monthly Parent Communications Report drawing on feedback from academic support staff, parent hotlines, admissions staff, and the PPP programme.
  • Measure and evaluate the communication plan and associated activities to improve communications and drive effectiveness.
  • Coordinate with Heads of School and the academic support staff regarding parental communication

  

Parental Communication  

  • Lead on strategy and content development to manage parental issues or crises at the School working with the Heads of School or key staff
  • Work with the Chinese Principal and Head Mistress to tailor the crisis communications protocols and templates for local implementation.
  • Anticipate and advise on potential parental issues - Develop plans to attenuate and manage parental issues

  

Skills, Qualifications and Experience 

  • Degree in education, communications, journalism, or public relations
  • At least two to three year's customer service experience
  • Knowledge of Microsoft technology
  • Knowledge of video editing, and audio & visual technology will be an added advantage
  • Good interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Excited about modern technologies and eager to learn and improve
  • High levels of professionalism
  • Excellent oral and written English
