ISP Learning Experience Designer Role Profile 
 
Purpose of Role 
 
At ISP, we put learning and our learners first. The purpose of the Learning Hub is to develop colleagues thereby helping ISP, its schools, and students to grow and get better. It is central to our commitment to building and maintaining Schools of Choice across our increasing global portfolio.  
   
The Learning Hub is ISP’s digital ecosystem focused on learning where ISP hosts learning opportunities, embeds quality and develops talent, and where colleagues learn together, share best practice, and build community.   
   
The Learning Hub team and its contributors deliver a portfolio of learning experiences which support the specific needs of our colleagues and ultimately students, their families, and our schools. The learning experiences are designed and created in partnership with colleagues across the ISP group and with experts from around the world.  
   
The Learning Hub team is looking for a Learning Experience Designer (LXD) to join our growing teamby designing, developing, and producing blended learning experiences for the Learning Hub, ISP’s digital learning platform, that align with the Learning & Innovation team’s strategy. You must have experience designing, implementing, and enhancing modern and future-proof learning solutions in a fast-paced growth environment, managing a varied portfolio of activity, and being adaptive to the changing needs of ISP as we continue to evolve. You’ll be driven by creating learning solutions that deliver an impact and are aligned to the needs of our people.  
   
The Learning Experience Designer will own a portfolio of work activity that may change at any one given time, ensuring that focus is prioritized on the activity that’s truly needed by people, and working to deliver end products that make a tangible difference.

ISP Learning Experience Designer Key Responsibilities 
As the Learning Experience Designer you be responsible for designing learning experiences for key ISP stakeholders, including teachers, colleagues and school leaders. Upon receipt of a request to design, you’ll be proactive in building a comprehensive picture behind the requirement, including a full understanding as to the value your work will deliver. Whilst designing these learning experiences you’ll need to manage your portfolio of activity and proactively collaborate with the wider team. You’ll use a variety of learning techniques and modalities such as self-paced, facilitated and blended learning. You willl be expected to quickly develop knowledge, skills and understanding on ISPs learning philosophy, approaches and ways of working.  
 
Additional Responsibilities   
  • Own the design process from start-to-finish for designated learning experiences
  • Design experiences which focus on learners and learning first, using a wide range of design and learning methodologies
  • Design learning experiences that are accessible, efficient, effective and engaging, and that align with the Learning Hub feel and quality standards
  • Support learners with any learning experience issues
  • Partner with stakeholders and subject matter experts worldwide across the ISP to determine individuals, workgroups, and organizations’ learning needs 
  • Co-develop and co-design digital and blended learning solutions and programs that meet the needs of Learning & Innovation at ISP
  • Use your own project management tools and skills to manage medium to large-scale content development projects
  • Research and identify areas for innovation and improvement in digital learning
  • Work in and coordinate with a global and remote team
  • Work with subject matter experts and other contributors (e.g. video editors, graphics designers, colleagues etc.) to design learning experiences
  • Contribute ideas and help manage the content pipeline
  • Contribute to the overall design of the Learning Hub
  
Evaluation and improvement  
  • Work with the wider Learning & Innovation Team to establish a set of consistent learning experience success criteria and performance metrics that can be measured over time
  • Evaluate learners’ experiences against success criteria and performance metrics
  • Work with colleagues to provide insightful analysis of learning experience outcomes  
  • Recommend and put into action improvements to experiences
  • Research and share best practice in blended learning experiences for our audience (students, colleagues and parents)
  
Portfolio and platform management  
  • Manage and co-ordinate own work activities, which may be subject to change based on new or differing needs from within the organisation
  • Support the organisation of the content on our LMS The Learning Hub and related platforms that support with our day-to-day activity (eg. SharePoint, Canvas, Monday.com, Teams, Evolve, ThirdLight, ShutterStock, Envato)
  
Communication  
  • Communicate ongoing and upcoming activity with a view to seeking feedback from others on a proactive basis
  • Propose, design and deliver engaging, effective, varied and learning-focused communications for the Learning Hub to drive users to engage with our learning experiences 
  • Work with the Learning & Innovation Team and Marketing & Communications colleagues to develop communication plans for relevant learning experiences
  
Developing positive relationships  
  • Develop positive relationships with the Learning & Innovation Team, as well as our colleagues across ISP and external partners to enhance Learning Hub’s reputation
  • Work with colleagues in ways that are consistent with ISP’s Principles and in support of ISP’s vision and purpose
  • Ensure that you always treat colleagues, our families and stakeholders with respect, demonstrating an understanding of and celebrating local and cultural differences
  • Identify and share examples of best practice amongst colleagues
  • Work closely and build positive relationships with colleagues to ensure they have voice, choice and ownership in the learning experiences. 
  • Learning facilitation, coordination and management
  • Facilitate and coordinate learning experiences, be they online or offline
  • Support colleagues in facilitating and coordinating learning experiences
  • Lead and facilitate learning in the Learning Hub Communities (e.g. collaboration spaces, discussion forums, etc.)
  • Identify and share examples of best practice from the Learning Hub Communities
  
This role is remote with the requirement to travel to ISP regional offices as needed. The role will report to the Learning Experience Lead.  
   
Skills, Qualifications and Experience 
Qualifications and Experience  
  • 4+ years’ experience using learning design to develop engaging eLearning and blended learning experiences for adult learners
  • Experience using eLearning tools and platforms such as, but not limited to Evolve, Storyline, Rise, Canva, Canvas, Moodle
  • To have excellent writing skills, and be proficient and comfortable with digital learning design technology.
  • Experience with different stakeholders, including subject matter experts (SMEs)
  • A creative growth mindset and be a design-thinker
  • A proven track record of strong program or project management 
  • To be a strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
  • To be flexible and be able to leverage data to make rapid decisions
  • Fluency in English
Nice to haves, but not essential  
  • Experience working in/with global and remote teams
  • User experience (UX) and user interface (UI) design 
  • Experience working in a school or education based setting
  • Knowledge of adult learning models and approaches (e.g., ADDIE Model, SAM, Design Thinking, Kirkpatrick Model, Bloom’s Taxonomy) 
  • Learning analytics and reporting experience
  • To have experience with editing HTML5 and CSS
  • Spanish is desirable but not essential.
