We are looking for a Human Resource Manager to join Tenby International Schools, Setia Eco Park.   
  
About us  
  
Tenby Schools Setia Eco Park, Kuala Lumpur campus is a large 3-18 school located on a green 20-acre site with excellent facilities and offers a welcoming, inclusive, and stimulating place to work. We love learning and we are continually getting better. We are extremely proud to be the flagship school in the region.  
  
We are a unique campus, home to Tenby International School, which consists of a Primary, and Secondary School (IPC, National Curriculum for England, CIE, IGCSE and A Level) and a Malaysian Private School, Sekolah Sri Tenby (Malaysian National Curriculum). The campus welcomes over 2000 amazing students, aged from 3 to 18 years and from 38 nationalities; with 1350 attending the international school, 600 of whom will be in the primary school. We celebrate being Asian and love the fact that we combine international thinking to create a diverse and exciting campus.

TENBY Human Resource Manager Key Responsibilities  

1. Key responsibilities: Recruitment, Onboarding and Talent Management 

  • Responsible for the school’s recruitment activities including advertising, candidate. Shortlisting, interviews and generation of offers. Collaborates with school SLT and department heads to understand skills and competencies required to fill vacant roles.
  • Responsible for staff onboarding implementing a structured and engaging approach to help staff transition to the school.
  • Responsible for compliance with safeguarding requirements including criminal background and reference checks and completion of safeguarding training.
  • Manage visa applications for expatriate staff.
  • Assist in the retention of identified key talents and succession planning activities
 

2. Key Responsibility: Performance Management and Rewards 

  • Implement and enhance the performance management policies and procedures for Academic and Non-Academic staff. Align the current framework with Central requirements and adapt if required.
  • Emphasise a culture of 2-way feedback and an interactive approach in relation to goal setting, mid-year and final year-end appraisal.
  • Responsible for communications and follow-ups in relation to key processes and ensures that relevant documentation is compiled and/or maintained in the HRIS.
  • Assist to initiate procedures in managing poor performers.
  • Implement increment and/or bonus schemes.
  

3. Key Responsibility: NPS/Annual Staff Survey and Staff Engagement  

  • Help communicate and drive participation in the NPS and Annual Staff surveys.
  • Assist in the analysis of the survey results, the identification of key focus areas and engagement priorities.
  • Initiate, coordinate and track employee engagement activities for school staff including wellbeing related initiatives.4. Key Responsibility: Payroll and Benefits, HR records and HRIS, and HR Compliance 
  • Responsible for the school’s payroll including payroll adjustments in compliance with statutory requirements and payroll procedures.
  • Responsible for administratively managing and coordinating employee benefits including relevant employee insurance schemes.
  • Updates and maintain HR reports and records including employee leave records, medical claims, attendance etc in established systems and/or HRIS.
  • Support and drive the implementation of the school’s HRIS modules.
  • Responsible for renewals of visas for expatriate staff.
  • Maintains compliance with applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and reviews school policies and practices to ensure compliance.

 

5. Key Responsibility: HR Advisory  

  • Provides HR support and advisory to management, and other staff on routine, complex, specialized /sensitive HR issues.
  • Trusted advisor to the Campus Principal.

 

6. Key Responsibility: Support Regional HR 

  • To assist regional HR to plan and implement projects/assignments from time to time.
  • To assist in guiding HR in other schools aimed at improving HR processes, practices and the delivery of HR services.
 Performs other duties as assigned.  
  
Skills, Qualification and Experience:  
  
Education: Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field.   
  
Experience and Skills:  
  • At least 10 years’ experience leading a HR function preferably in the education or services-related industry.
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
  • Conflict resolution, planning and attention to detail.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization HRIS; Cezanne.
