Laude San Pedro International College is seeking to appoint an inspirational and passionate Primary teacher. The successful candidate will join our committed and dynamic Primary school, who deliver an outstanding learning experience which goes well beyond the classroom.

The Primary schoolconsists of a team of highly experienced teachers from a range of nationalities and previous experiences, reflecting our truly international community .
Our department is characterised by a strong sense of collaboration and enthusiasm, with a focus on team work both within Primary, and extending to the Secondary school. Our teachers in Primary have an excellent working relationship, where everyones voice is heard and contributes to positive change. Our main aim is to focus on the principles of safe, happy, learning for our students and in celebrating the diverse cultures that make up our school community. We aim to achieve the highest possible standards for all students, according to their individual abilities, and your role will form an integral part of this framework.
The ideal candidate will have knowledge and experience of thePrimary UK curriculumalthough we adapt this to be suitable to our international learners, and so experience in other curriculums such asIPCorPYPis also valued. We also look beyond the curriculum and so enrichment opportunities and ideas are highly valued.
We are passionate about learning, ensuring that we celebrate cross curriculum events and activities and participate in a range of International Learning Opportunities for our students as provided by ISP.
Preparing all of our students to be digital citizens, the ideal candidate will also have the opportunity to be a part of a newEdtech projectas we look at how to embed technology to enhance student learning across the curriculum.
We believe in self reflection to drive improvement and continuous development as individuals, as a team and as a school.
Salary: 30,000 - 32,500

Recruitment Details

We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated colleague: a professional commitment to the academic expectations and values of the school, and the ability to work in a team are essential.
Applicants must haveQualified Teacher Status (QTS), preferably from a UK provider, be eligible to work in Spain and have a proficient (native or quasi-native) level of English.

The candidate profile

  • Valid work permit for the European Union. No other applications will be considered.
  • Proactive and inspirational teacher, preferably with British and/or international school experience.
  • Enjoys working with children in a positive and supportive manner.
  • Has QTS preferably from a UK or equivalent provider
  • Knowledge and experience of leading and implementing the national curriculum for England is preferred
  • Experience of and willingness to actively participate in the pastoral and enriched life of the school community.
  • A genuine team player who is happy to contribute and lead initiatives within a successful and supportive department.
  • Knowledge of Spanish, or willingness to learn Spanish would be an advantage.
