Laude San Pedro International Collegeis seeking to appoint an inspirational, committed and passionateSecondary School teacher of Science, up to and including A-Level courses, for September 2024. The successful candidate will join our experienced and dynamic Science department, who deliver an outstanding learning experience which goes well beyond the classroom.

The Science department is made up of a team of 7 highly experienced specialised teachers and supported by a full time Lab technician who is instrumental in setting up practicals and supporting in lessons.The department has three purpose built fully equipped labs as well as a preparation room that allows for the provision of practicals to take place on a daily basis, thus ensuring that students learn through doing.
The department deliversPearson's Exploring Science International curriculumto KS3 students. This syllabus provides seamless progression into theEdexcel IGCSEand also theIALcourse, incorporating elements of independent learning and practical skills.
At KS4 the students studyPearson Edexcelbiology, chemistry and physics with the latter two being optional, and begin studying the course content in year 9. The department is proud of their exam results at IGCSE.
At KS5, we deliver the Pearson Edexcel International A Level which builds on the KS3 and KS4 foundations. Students enjoy small class sizes which currently range from 2 to 5 and many of our A level students have gone on to study Medicine, engineering, and specialised careers in prestigious universities in the USA, UK and Europe.
Ability to teach ICT KS3 would be a benefit.
Salary: 30,000 - 32,500 per year

Recruitment Details
We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated colleague: a professional commitment to the academic expectations and values of the school, and the ability to work in a team are essential.
Applicants must haveQualified Teacher Status (QTS), preferably from a UK provider, and beeligible to work in Spainand have a proficient (native or quasi-native) level of English.
The candidate profile
- Proactive and inspirational teacher, preferably with British and/or international school experience.
- Enjoys working with children in a positive and supportive manner.
- Has QTS preferably from a UK or equivalent provider
- Knowledge and experience of leading and implementing the national curriculum for England is preferred
- Experience of and willingness to actively participate in the pastoral and enriched life of the school community.
- A genuine team player who is happy to contribute and lead initiatives within a successful and supportive department.
- Knowledge of Spanish, or willingness to learn Spanish would be an advantage.
- Ability to teach ICT KS3 would be a benefit
