ISP Group Systems Accountant Role Profile
 
 
Purpose of Role
 
This role will be part of a team working on our core financial system, Oracle NetSuite integrated with our MIS system, iSAMS projects of global significance.  You will provide leading practice and advice to lead change and improvements, drive the management of group’s metadata structures and changes, evaluate country specific requirements, and lead the onboarding and transition process for new and existing school. The group system accountant will work with financial system team, group and regional finance teams, technology programmes team to understand and execute their perspectives and objectives. This is a central role reporting to Group Head of Financial Systems.

ISP Group System Accountant Key Responsibilities
 
  • Lead the implementation of our new schools into our financial systems and project manage. 
  • Lead the fees billing implementation as part of our student life cycle implementation. 
  • Build and lead the initiatives projects on the roadmap as required by group finance and across the regions. 
  • Create re-usable assets for implementation to drive standardisation and project accelerations.  
  • Analyse local business and regulatory requirements and liaise with local integration and solution provider to implement. 
  • Act as a trusted advisor to group and regional finance teams on all matters relating to entity structure, compliance process, financial transactions, reporting and consolidations within the financial system. 
  • Coordinate with group system analyst for resolution for all finance systems related issues tickets through ISP service desk. 
  • Collaborate with programmes team to review all transaction processing procedures into our financial system to enable more efficient integration with our MIS system, payment provider and compliance solution provider. 
  • Responsible in defining and planning walk throughs, end user training and UAT. 
  • Oversee and provide training to new users and ongoing skill enhancement training to existing users and guidance in how to user guides documentation. 
  • Liaise with financial system team and service providers on periodic system releases for evaluation, testing and implementation. 
  • Responsible for the core financial system maintenance and improvements to ensure it continues to function and perform properly.  
Skills, Qualifications and Experience
 
  • Proven experience in NetSuite implementation, upgrades, and optimisation. 
  • Comprehensive experience in core financial modules within NetSuite including consolidation, multi books, tax compliance, fixed assets, bank reconciliation, analytics and reporting. 
  • Awareness of industry best practice when eliciting requirements and familiar with solutions for local transactional, accounting and tax compliance process. 
  • Strong experience in developing procedures, designing solution, planning system change and associated training. 
  • Knowledge of PBCS would be advantageous 
  • Experience in working as part of group technology programmes and integrations. 
  • Related accountancy or technology qualifications. 
  • Proficient in Spanish or another language is preferable.
