  • Minimum of five years of experience

SUPERVISES: Account Receivable
JOB GOAL:
 
            As a Finance Director (BP of finance), budget management would be a key responsibility.   The Finance Business Partner (BP) is the primary financial liaison of the assigned school. This role supports and advises the School Director and the school's management teams in operational decision-making processes within the assigned business strategic framework. It optimizes the use of financial resources to ensure the achievement of short and long-term school business objectives. The BP proactively provides the School Director and the Regional Finance Director with information about business opportunities and risks, as well as their respective financial impact. This role supports and drives business initiatives aimed at improving operational and financial performance. The Finance BP is responsible for the short and long-term financial performance of the assigned school area along with the corresponding management team. This position receives guidance and support from the Regional Finance Director on complex activities, appropriate requests, and key issues in executing functions.
 
PERFORMANCE AREAS:
 
  • Budget Planning: Work closely with other departments and leaders to understand the financial needs of the company in the short and long term. This involves creating a detailed budget plan that reflects the company's goals and objectives.
 
  • Monitoring and Control: Once the budget is established, it is essential to continuously track to ensure it is being used effectively and efficiently. This involves monitoring expenses and comparing them to the established budget, identifying deviations, and taking corrective action as necessary.
 
  • Communication and Transparency: Maintain clear and transparent communication with all stakeholders about the company's financial status and any changes to the budget. This involves regularly reporting to senior management and other departments on financial performance and any significant deviations from the budget.
 
  • Resource Optimization: Continuously seek ways to optimize the use of available financial resources, identifying areas where costs can be reduced or operational efficiency improved without compromising quality or the company's objectives.
 
  • Future Planning: In addition to managing the current budget, it is also important to plan for the future, anticipating potential changes in market conditions or company needs and adjusting the budget accordingly.
 
Administration/Organizational Management
 
  • Plan, organize, and direct (or oversee/approve) implementation of all accountant process and procedures.
  • Oversee the school’s administration and instruction; make recommendations when is needed.
  • Work with other members of the leadership team on matters and issues of more than divisional specific.
  • Budget school time to provide for the efficient conduct of instruction, co-curricular activities, and operational business.
  • Plan and supervise emergency preparedness program in accordance with legal requirements and established school system procedures.
  • Participate in School Leadership Team meetings, and in such other meetings as may be required or appropriate.
 
Budgeting/School Finance/Plant Management/Business Services
 
  • Prepare and submit the school’s budgetary requests, and monitor expenditures of allotted funds.
  • Supervise the maintenance of all required building records and reports.
  • Assume responsibility for the safety and administration of the school plant.
  • Work with maintenance, custodial and other staff to address facility needs.
