You will have a chance to work with some of the most intellectually curious young minds and have the chance to inspire them through stimulating and creative lessons in small classes of up to 12 students.
You will be joining a dedicated team of 10 enthusiastic mathematicians who regularly collaborate and share resources and strategies for engaging our students. Our commitment to a student-centred approach fosters critical thinking and problem-solving skills, which prepares students for academic success and lifelong learning.
Mathematics department is dynamic, offering frequent CPD workshops and departmental meetings; we also embrace diverse teaching styles and actively support peer-to-peer learning through lesson observations and constructive feedback. We follow the Pearson International GCSE and A Level curricula, and in Y11 we also teach GCSE Statistics and a pre-A Level programme, which is designed by our team, to ensure our students are thoroughly prepared for A Level.
As the school’s largest department, we consistently achieve outstanding results. In 2023, our student earned the Highest Mark in the world in the International A Level in Mathematics, and in 2024 another achieved a perfect 200/200 on the iGCSE. Many of our students go on to study at prestigious Universities, such as Warwick University (Mathematics), Imperial College (Mathematics and Engineering), LSE (Mathematics), Oxford University (Engineering), and Princeton and MIT (Engineering). We also encourage participation in prestigious mathematics competitions like the UKMT and British Mathematical Olympiad, where our students frequently earn gold medals and merit awards.
About you:
We are seeking a passionate Mathematics Teacher eager to contribute to our team's success and bring fresh ideas to our department. If you are dedicated to making a difference and wish to be part of a collaborative and high-achieving team, we would love to hear from you.
The full-time teaching commitment is 20 hours of instruction per week with generous time allowances built into the timetable to facilitate effective preparation, marking, and report writing. Teachers are expected to either be involved in pastoral care (tutoring of a small group) or supporting student clubs and co-curricular activities. The regular school week is from Monday to Friday, with occasional school events happening on weekends (e.g. open days, school trips) that teachers may be required to attend.

Educational Qualifications
● A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mathematics
Experience
● Teaching experience specifically in A Levels or International Baccalaureate
● Thorough knowledge of the subject curricula– iGCSE and A Level
● Involvement in extra-curricular activities: professional, amateur, or voluntary
● Experience managing and leading groups of students/young people
● High level of IT literacy
