We are seeking to hire a Deputy Head of Primary with experience in an international school for commencement August 2025. Reporting to: Campus Principal
Purpose of Role
To provide leadership, direction, and co-ordination within the international school with the primary focus on developing and maintaining effective educational programme, and to promote the improvement of teaching and learning in preschool and primary school.

Strategic Direction / Shaping the Future:
Support the Campus Principal in:
Establish short-, medium-, and long-term plans for development and resourcing for the specific areas of responsibility.
Learning and Teaching:
a) Work with the Campus Principal to raise the quality of teaching and learning and student achievement, setting high expectations and monitoring and evaluating effectiveness of learning outcomes:
b) Provide regular feedback for colleagues in a way which recognises good practice and supports their process against professional and performance management objective resulting in a tangible impact on student learning:
c) Develop whole staff, subject teams, and individuals to enhance performance:
d) Plan, delegate, and evaluate work carried out by teams and individuals.
e) Be an excellent role model, exemplifying a high standard of teaching and promoting high expectations for all members of the school community.
f) Work with the Leadership Team to raise standards through staff mentorship, challenge and support.
g) Contribute to the development and delivery of training and support for staff. h) Lead the development and review of all aspects of the curriculum including planning, recording and reporting, assessment for learning and the development of a creative and appropriate curriculum for pupils.
i) Work in partnership with the Leadership Team in managing the school through strategic planning and the formulation of policy and delivery of strategy, ensuring leadership decisions are implemented.
j) With the Leadership Team, lead the processes involved in monitoring, evaluating, and challenging the quality of teaching and learning taking place throughout the schools, including lesson observations to ensure consistency and quality. k) Ensure systematic teaching and recording of impact is consistently high across the schools.
l) Develop and review systems to ensure robust evaluation of school performance, progress data and actions to secure improvements.
m) Ensure through leading by example the active involvement of students and staff in their own learning.

a) Work with the Campus Principal to build a professional learning community which enables others to achieve it.
b) Support staff within your team, and within the whole school in achieving high standards through continuing effective professional development.

a) Lead and support staff in fulfilling their responsibilities regarding the school’s performance and standards.
b) Support the Leadership Team in reporting the school’s performance to its community and partners.
c) Promote and protect the health and safety and welfare of students and staff. d) Responsible for promoting the safeguarding and welfare of children and young people within the school.
Strengthening Community
a) Work with the Leadership Team in developing the policies and practice, which promotes inclusion, equality and the extended services that the school offers. b) Develop and maintain contact with specialist support services as appropriate.
c) Promote the positive involvement of parents/carers in school life.
d) Organise and conduct meetings where appropriate with parents and carers to ensure positive outcomes for all parties.
e) Strengthen partnership and community working.
f) Promote positive relationships and work with colleagues in other schools and external agencies.
