We are looking for a Maintenance Assistant to join Tenby Schools, Setia Eco Park. The Handy Man will support the day-to-day maintenance and upkeep of our school premises. 
 
About us
 
Tenby Schools Setia Eco Park, Shah campus is a large 3-18 school located on a green 20-acre site with excellent facilities and offers a welcoming, inclusive, and stimulating place to work. We are a unique campus, home to Tenby International School, which consists of a Primary, and Secondary School (IPC, National Curriculum for England, CIE, IGCSE and A Level) and a Malaysian Private School, Sekolah Sri Tenby (Malaysian National Curriculum). The campus welcomes over 2000 amazing students, aged from 3 to 18 years and from 38 nationalities; with 1350 attending the international school, 600 of whom will be in the primary school. We celebrate being Asian and love the fact that we combine international thinking to create a diverse and exciting campus.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with routine maintenance tasks across the school campus, including but not limited to plumbing, electrical, civil works, repairs, and general upkeep. Aircond experience is an advantage.
  • Conduct weekly inspections of the school buildings, playgrounds, and surrounding areas to identify areas needing maintenance.
  • Respond to maintenance requests from stakeholder addressing issues in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Ensure that all maintenance work complies with safety standards and regulations.
  • Assist the stakeholder in setup of events, assemblies, and other school activities.
  • Maintain an inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies, ensuring that necessary items are stocked.
  • Able to work after working/public holiday and weekends if required.
  • Report any significant maintenance issues to the Facilities Manager / Maintenance Supervisor for further action.
  • To carry out routine inspection and Plan Preventive Maintenance for the campus
  • Work and monitor external contractors as needed for specialized repairs and maintenance tasks.
 
 
 
Skills, Qualification and Experience: 
  • At least SKVM, SKM certification, or an equivalent diploma in a relevant field. Must be computer literate in using Microsoft Word/Excel/Powerpoint/ outlook etc….
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in maintenance or similar roles. Experience in school is an advantage.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other staff members.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
  • Physical stamina and ability to perform manual labor, including lifting and carrying heavy items.
  • Basic understanding of health and safety regulations related to school maintenance and assisting when needed.
