College & Career Counselor 
  
Purpose of Role: 
The role of a College and Career Counselor is to guide and support students in making informed decisions about their academic and professional futures. The purpose of this position is to help students understand their strengths, explore various career paths, and plan for life after school

  • Liaison with Faculty 
  • Support High School Career Counselling Function 
  • Assist the Functional Head in providing administrative support to the overall high school career counselling function. 
  • Program Development & Implementation 
  • Professional Development & School Engagement 
Experience, skills & Competencies 
  
  • 5 to 8 years of experience in career counselling, with a focus on middle school students preferred. 
  • Familiarity with career guidance frameworks and student profile development strategies. 
  • Awareness of the CBSE and Cambridge curricula, including their structure, strengths, and implications for college and career choices will be an added advantage. 
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage effectively with students, parents, and faculty. 
  • Empathy and ability to connect with young adolescents. 
  • Proficiency in workshops, presentations, and facilitating group sessions. 
  • Proficiency in using tools for documentation and data management. 
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks and maintain accurate records. 
  • Skilled in using student management tools and communication software. 
  • Creative problem-solving abilities to design engaging student activities. 
  • Eagerness to learn and stay updated with the latest industry trends and practice
