We have an exciting opportunity for a detail-focused Data Analyst to join this dynamic and results-driven Investment and Partnerships team.

About the role

This is a remote working role for a candidate based in India

As a data analyst imbedded in the investment team, along with analyst responsibilities, you will also drive strategy around data acquisition. You will lead on projects focused on sourcing and collecting primary and secondary data, alongside maintaining databases that will help to drive investment decision making. Further to this, you will assist with ad-hoc projects and analysis required for decision making throughout the lifecycle of an investment process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Working with a wide range of information tools and proprietary databases on schools and small businesses across the business
• Using online tools to find high level market information and capture relevant data
• Communicating effectively over the phone and face to face in (as a minimum) English, but additional languages would be desirable
• Using MS Office tools to produce summaries of research findings

About You

Qualifications & Experience

• Strong excel skills with an excellent understanding of VBA
• Experience building web scrapes from scratch
• Solid Python knowledge
• Familiarity with Linux/UNIX, HTTP, HTML, Javascript and Networking
• Familiarity with techniques and tools for crawling, extracting and processing data (e.g. Scrapy, pandas, mapreduce, SQL, BeautifulSoup, etc).
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field or the equivalent demonstrated experience
• Have at least 12 months full time work prior to applying for this role.
